The Outcome
Day one covered all prep, priming, and the first coat of White Dove on the main walls. Day two brought the second coat of White Dove, the two coats of Hale Navy on the accent wall, and all trim and moulding work. We were out by 3pm on day two - Sarah was home from work in time to see the finished room.
The transformation was dramatic. With the same furniture and the drapes swapped for simple linen sheers (Sarah's choice, not ours), the room reads twice as large and captures the afternoon light that the previous color had been absorbing for years. The navy accent wall adds the depth and character that an 1800s-era home in Murfreesboro deserves - without fighting the architecture.
